The Pale Mountains
There is a place where time is not measured in hours, but in layers of rock and breaths of wind. These are the Dolomites, the Pale Mountains, stone cathedrals born from an ancient sea and raised to touch the sky.
This photographic collection was born from the desire to strip these giants of all superfluous color, to lay bare their purest, most intimate, and dramatic essence. Without the distraction of color, only the pure lines, the textures of the rock, the violent contrasts, and the infinite nuances of light remain.
In these photographs, shadow becomes the chisel that defines the profiles of the peaks, while light caresses the vertical walls, transforming them into timeless sculptures. It is a silent dialogue between the earth and the absolute, where clouds blur boundaries and storms give way to a solemn stillness.
The Pale Mountain is a journey into the realms of vertical silence. It's an invitation to lose yourself in a landscape that seems to whisper our own finiteness, to pause before the majesty of nature and rediscover, in the essentiality of black and white, the immortal soul of the mountain, immutable and splendidly distant, while all else passes.
